RuthAnne

RUTH-ANNE CUNNINGHAM has a powerhouse voice and a whole lot of soul. Ireland-born and Los Angeles-based, she found the missing link between gritty nineties R&B a la Lauryn Hill and seventies songwriter storytelling reminiscent of Carole King. The musical journey of this artist, songwriter, and performer has been marked by fearlessness. Most recently, Ruth-Anne penned 6 songs on Niall Horan’s album, Flicker, including “Slow Hands.” In 2007, she achieved the ASCAP Songwriters “Best Pop Song” Award for writing JoJo’s “Too Little Too Late.” Rooty continued with a string of smashes including Britney Spears’ RIAA platinum-certified “Work Bitch,” One Direction’s “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” and “No Control,” Pentatonix’s “Misbehavin’” and Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha’s global platinum selling smash hit “In The Name Of Love.” She also has had numerous songs placed in film & television including Fox show “Empire” and the latest Fifty Shades of Grey sequel entitled Fifty Shades Darker which she featured on as an artist. For years, this is how this multi-talented artist earned a living. Yet it is establishing herself as an artist in her own right that has always been the dream. Her next musical project, due in 2021 will show her artistry in a new form.

Authenticity is the most important thing for RuthAnne. “Working on my own album, seeing the reactions when I was myself and didn’t try to conform what was popular, was such a wonderful thing to happen. It’s never been about chart positions for me, it’s about being the everyday girl. Throughout the whole process of this album, all I’ve wanted to do is what best represents me as an artist, as a songwriter and as a person.”
